Almost Christmas

Christmas 1974
Sherman TX
" notice the little puppy in the floor"  My favorite toy

My first Bicycle

Christmas 1974

Well, it is almost Christmas and everyone is rushing around putting up the last string of lights, getting the cards in the mail (does anyone do that anymore), and getting those last minute gifts bought.  Now, we have to get the time to wrap all the little buggers.  Family making plans to be at grandma's house.

My favorite memories are from Christmas' Past when my grandmother and great-grandmother would rush us off to bed and tuck us in and tell us to hurry off to sleep so Santa would be on his way.  My dad would pop in once in a while and tell us that he heard Santa was stuck up in the mountains because of the snow and my sister and I would worry if he was going to make it.  I would sneak a peek to see if it had started snowing or listen for the sounds of hooves on the roof top.  While waiting to grab a glimpse of Santa, we would drift off to sleep...

...Morning would come arrive and Kris and I would pop out of bed, before anyone was awake (so we thought).  As we ran into the living room to see what Santa brought, we would find my grandmothers already hard at work on Christmas Dinner.  I still remember the smells of my Great-Grandmother's house as if she were here now.  My Aunt, Grandpa, Dad and both my grandmother's would all be present and away we would go to open the presents.

Now that I am all grown up and have children of my own, it is still those memories that I remember and what I so very much want for my children.  Now that I look back, I realize it wasn't what was in the boxes that was so important, but the memories that stayed from those Christmas gone by.

To each and everyone who stops by Just Another Day.... please take a moment this Christmas Season and remember those special moments.  We often forget the little things that mean so much.  It is not what is inside that box that you will remember in the years ahead, but the love that was placed in picking that gift, and the special care and love that was given when picking out the paper and tieing that last bow.  To you and your family, I wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

BURNT TOAST

When I was a little boy, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad.

I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!

Yet, all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite! I got up from the table, and I heard my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast.

I'll never forget what he said. 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night, and asked if he really liked his toast burned.
He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Little Buddy, Momma had a hard day at work today and she's real tired. Besides, a little burnt toast never hurt anyone! Life is full of imperfect things, and imperfect people. Personnaly, I'm not the best at some things either.' I've learned over the years that learning to accept each other's faults, and choosing to celebrate each other's differences, is one of the most important steps to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship. This could be extended to any relationship because understanding is the base on which any relationship is built, be it husband-wife, parent-child, or in friendship.
Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket but into your own. No one else can MAKE you happy, your happiness is a choice you make.
People will always forget what you do, they will forget what you
say, but will never, ever forget the way you make them feel.

TWO HORSES

There is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse.

But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will
notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes
of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner
has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a
good home for him.
This alone is amazing.

If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the
sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of
the sound, you will see that it comes from the
smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where the other
horse is, so he can follow...
As you stand and watch these two horses, you'll see

that the horse with the bell is always checking on the
blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for
the bell and then slowly walk to where the other
horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter
of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and
looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't
too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not

throw us away just because we are not perfect or
because we have problems or challenges.
He watches over us and even brings others into our
ives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by
the little ringing bell of those who God places in
our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse, helping others
to find their way....
Good friends are like that... you may not always
see them, but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.
And remember...be kinder than necessary - everyone
you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply,
   Love generously,
Care deeply,
    Speak kindly.....
     Leave the rest to God...

Meet Copper

Photo taken by: Robin Inge
This is Dustin's new BEST FRIEND Copper. He got him for his birthday and this is the first weekend that they have been apart. Let me tell you, I'm not sure how Dustin is holding up, as he is on a Canoe trip with the Scout Troop 15 down on the Brazo's River this weekend, but it is hard on Copper.... and I both. He didn't want to sleep last night, so for the first time since moving to a new home, he actually slept outside. I couldn't get any sleep... he wanted to play and make noise all night. He made 1000 trips back and forth to Dustin's room. He'd sit in front of the door and watch and hope the door would open and Dustin would let him in. He don't know what's going on.

Thanksgiving

Well, this was originally posted last year! But I have such a wonderful family I wanted to share it again. My family gives above and beyond and I want them to know that I love them very much! This video is dedicated to Ronnie, Rosalee, Wenona, Michael, Dustin, Christian, Raegan and Madi. I love each of you very much and hope that you all know how very much you are loved and appreciated.

"Me"

So, it's been a few months since I stopped in and wanted to say hi to all my friends. If you take the time to watch this video, you will see life has been pretty busy around our house. Thanksgiving this year, really was special to me and wanted to share a little of why with you.

I began working on this video as a Christmas Present for Rosalee... as I worked on it, I realized just how much I had to be thankful for and just how lucky I was. This past year has been filled with ups and downs... but life has had a way of seeing me through. Recently I found a wonderful job that I truly love and enjoy.

Through in a wonderful family and what else could a person need. Raegan tells, everyone she is not reach, but she is wealthy. You know, she is right... she is! We all are! Most of us measure our wealth in $$$$.... well we are much richer when we stop and take account our familes and the small things we have. I have been blessed with wonderful children, nieces and nephews, my father and grandmother and now with a whole new family. I am very Thankful for what I have and couldn't ask for anything more.

While the world around us falls apart we should stop and thing about what we truly have and give thanks for what God has given us. Most of us spend our time worring about what we dont have and what everyone else around us has.

People spend there life making others around them miserable instead of taking the time to just appreciate what they have. Life would be so much better if we would just slow down and be thankful and appreciate what we have......

MONDAY!!!!

Well, class was full of information. My brain is in overload and have to study for my test tomorrow night. Work was uneventful today, which by the way is nice for a change. This is probably the first slow day I have had since Fall Registration. However, soon enough it will speed back up and kick into gear for Spring Registration. Can you believe it, 2010 is just around the corner. Where did the time go? Our annual Breath of Life Gala for Cystic Fibrosis is rapidly approaching as well. I sure hope that it is a successful one since our donations have not reached the goal yet.

Just want to send a special " I LOVE YOU"! out to Ronnie to let him know that I love him very much and miss him even more. I hope that you will be home soon...

Night all!

September 11, 2001: Remembering

That morning as I drove to school, I had just pulled onto campus and was driving pass the tennis courts when they announced over the radio that a plane had crashed into one of the Twin Towers in New York City. I really didn't know the devastation at that time. I walked into Fred Romanski's Research Class and mentioned in and no one yet knew what was going on. We just thought there had been a plane crash. As we went down to the library to start our assignments, we happened to pass Mr. Owen's history class. They were watching the events unfold on the local news. About the time, I stopped in the door way to see what was happing, the second plane crashed into the towers. At that moment I knew this was not just another plane crash. After class, I drove to McKinney for work at Chili's. I can say the silence inside the restaurant was chiling. I don't think I have seen that sort of emotion ever. Every table I had prayed, spoke to other strangers and asked if you were ok. My grandmother called me at work to make sure I was ok and to see if I knew what was going on. I remember feeling empty that day and not truly understanding the magnatude of the day's events.

The following photos are pictures taken from other photographers that were there on that horrible day in America's history. Please take a moment to remember those who lost their lives and the families of those lost. Let's also not forget those who survived that dreaded day and those who risked their lives to help those in need....
photo taken by: Steve McCurry
The atmosphere was so heavy. Everybody knew the weight of the situation. I was just trying to translate into film what I was actually feeling — horror and loss.
This was a whole other level of evil
photo taken by: Eli Reed
It seemed so incongruous, an emergency worker with a small hammer, laboring in this vast destruction.

photo taken by: Steve McCurry
The destruction was total. It hadn't stopped at the last thirty floors, or the last ten. There was only this shell. You couldn't believe your eyes.

"life is not measured by the number of breath's we take, but instead by the number of moments that take our breath away"

Some of those moments are not always happy ones. We must never forget the events and lives touch or lossed on this dreadful day in America's history.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTIN

YOU FINALLY DID IT! YOU MADE IT TO BE A TEENAGER!
PHOTO TAKEN BY: Aunt Kristi shortly after birth
"Look at all that Hair"
Dustin was born on Sept. 9, 1996 at 8:55am at Wilson N Jones Hospital in Sherman TX. He weighted a whopping 8lbs 13.2 oz and 21 inches long. After his first week of life he started to show signs of something wrong, but no one could put there finger on it. The second week was spent in the hospital and at the end of that week still nothing. Beginning of week three he was sent to Children's Medical Center with a disorder called "Pyloricstenosis". It affected a muscle at the opening of the lining to his stomach which caused him not to be able to digest his formula. Buy this time Dustin barely weighted 6lbs. At the age of 2, he had his first Serious Asthma Attach which landed him in the hospital again on top of the many number of visits we had spent already.

However, the hospital visits didn't stop Dustin, he loved to play outdoors and love his Aunt Vickie and his Granny Cissy and Nana. He loved being outside and playing in the dirt like any other boy would. He was a handful.

Dustin Summer 2008
Dustin has grown into a fine young boy who loves to hunt, fish, build stuff, explore and just have fun. And still, he is a handful. Tomorrow he will be 13... the sign of the start of manhood, teen-hood, maturity! Dustin is a hardworker and usually trys his best at everything he does. Sometimes he has to have a little nudge here and there, but dont we all. Tomorrow is a little sad for me ...because my baby of 4 will be 13. WOW! That mean's I'm the mother of 4 teens too. UGG! Well, I guess that is what God planned!
Dustin, I want you to know that I love you very much. You and I have been through a lot together and we have come a long way. You have worked so hard this summer and I want you to know how very proud of you I am. I hope that you will always have that curiosity and drive that you have now. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something, because this weekend, building your fishpond, you proved that your very smart and when you set your mind to it you can do anything you want to. I love you with all my heart!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dustin's Imagination

A few weekends ago, we went and spent the day with Rosalee and watched the Hotter 'N Hell 100. After it was over, everyone went and helped Papa clean out the fish pond in their backyard. While dumping the old water from the pump, we discovered that baby catfish had been hatched. So, Rosalee and Dustin began scoppin them up and putting them into a clean tub of water. Dustin being the inquisitive one wanted to know if they would grow in his fish tank. So he came home with 4. Rosalee told him when they got to big for his tank to bring them back and they would release them. That state triggered a weekend project for Dustin and a life time or worry for the rest of us, because when he gets a project in his mind, non of us are going to get any sleep till it is complete....

Friday night, while I was in my office working on homework and the boys were watching tv or doing what boys do, I could hear Dustin outside working and getting into something. I went to check and he was rock hunting back in the woods behind our house. So I left him alone.....
The next morning I woke early and went outside to see what the day was looking like and saw something strange in my yard....
(all of the stuff was either found at the house or in the woods)
ITEMS TO CREATE YOUR OWN BACKYARD POND
1. GREEN PLASTIC THING: once home to our guinea pigs
2. BLUE PLASTIC THING: part of a child slide found out in woods (FREE)
3. ROCKS: all found out in the woods. Note: large center rock is actually piece of concrete once used to anchor pole in ground that was split in half
4. CINDER BLOCKS: found in woods (new probably $5.00 each) total he has 4
5. WOODEN PALLET: PART of my dang porch.....to keep things off ground and getting wet
6. WHITE PLASTIC BUCKET: ronnie brought home with dirty laundry in it
7. METAL BUCKET: HAD a plant in it
8. T-POST: Found in woods: I think $5.00 each
9. FISH TANK CLEANING HOSE: use to make water flow: DUSTIN'S, $9.99 @ petco
10. STICKS: found in woods: Dustin says to make look more natural...
11. WATER HOSE: LEFT ON ALL NIGHT: Have not gotten water bill yet
My SONS Imagination: Priceless

Dustin's New Best Friend

Well, let me tell you about the events of this last week and how this all came down to start with...
On Wednesday's we get a paper in the mail sorta like the news paper but not as big, not really a shopper either.
So I get an email from Dustin stating he found a Beagle for $50 or $60 dollars and he has $27 or $25. Wants to know if he can earn more? I told him that we would talk about it when I got home because I was busy at work. So in the mean time he picks up the phone and calls the owner of the dogs and finds out all the information he knows I'm gonna want.
When I get home he starts asking me a million questions. I told him we would have to wait and talk to Ronnie and see what he thought because I didnt know if it would be a good thing or not. While waiting to talk to Ronnie since he is at work in Nebraska, he sends his Granny Cissy an email.... this is part of the conversation....

Dustin: Granny I need to earn $30 dollars please.
Granny: So Do I!
Dustin: What? I found a Beagle and he is 50.00 I only got $27 or $25.
Granny: I'm at school talk later...
Dustin: I'm not trying to be Greedy or rude, but you know I can't get Pepe or Star back. And I need a new best friend. I will do whatever you need me too.
NOTE: Granny and Papa's car had just been put in the shop during this conversation. By the end of the last message, Granny told Papa he was gonna have to find a friend to ride with or walk. Wouldn't hurt him it was close. LMAO! She told me, by this time she was ready to go sell the house so he could have his dog. When I got home he already had everything lined out.
I told him that we didn't have a fence.... I came home to this.....! So there blows that excuse. He had went in the small wooded area behind our housing addition and acquired some thrown away fencing. TWO ROLLS! Please remember, this child is only 12.
<.............................................
So again I tell him I am waiting to talk to Ronnie when he isn't so tired at night.
He then proceeds the next day to call the owner of the puppies and ask him if he can hold them till Friday so he can see if he can earn enough money. The man tell's him yes! He then picks up the phone and calls my LANDLORD and works out a deal to pay out the pet deposit. (He's really serious isn't he). When I get home he has a not for me that states everything he did. Because I have school at night and by time I get home he is in bed. Again, I have not talked to Ronnie.... that evening I talked to Ronnie. He being the level head of the bunch says to me.... We dont' have a PROPER fence and he's not home to help put it up. He also says that Dustin should wait till Dustin can be at home during the day to work with him, because as a baby dont need to be shut up all day while we are at school and work. I AGREE! Needless to say when I relayed all the information to Dustin, it didn't go over very well. However, he didn't say another word about it.

Saturday comes along and Rosalee and Raegan come over for Dustin's B-day Party. Plans fell apart because all the pools in the area are closed. We foudn one in Burkburnette that was opened and we pile everyone in the cars and head that way. Told them between 2 and 3. We arrive at 2:30 and it is all locked up. UGG! So home we head......

The kids decided they like playing outside..... (whole other story.. will post in a bit). So Rosalee and I sit outside with the kids while they play talking. Our conversation truns to the puppy and Dustin. While talking Dustin comes and says this neighbor guy wants to give him a dog kennel. So we tell him to go check. By this time the guy decides he can sell for $60.00. ...........>

Rosalee and the kids go off to check on it and she comes back and her and my mom and I all start making plans. I call to check if they still have pups and they do. So we load the kids up and away we all head to Oklahoma to look at the pups..... I'm sure you can guess what happens.

We examine the puppies and talk to the man who has the pups and at the end of our time there, we all agree on taking one home. Dustin ask the man how much and he replies by saying: "How much do you have? I hear you have worked very hard, so that you could have one?" Dustin then replies: "Yes Sir!". The man say's "I am gonna make you a deal", and disappears into his barn. When he returns he has a puppy shot in his hand and informs us that this would make his second shot. We all say thank you! As we get ready to leave the man hands Dustin $20.00 of the money he just paied for the dog back and tells him to use it for dog food and the remaning two parvo shots he needs. Dustin smiles and shakes his hand and says thank you and away we head. Since coming home, I dont think that the puppy has been able to walk on his own, because Dustin and Raegan and my nieces and nephew have done nothing but carry him. This is the shot I took this morning while everyone was asleep. Please keep in mind that his grandmothers have given him a dog cage for him to sleep in, a big dog pillow which he loves.

NOTE: The pillow that the puppy is laying on is actually the dog pillow that BELONGS in the FLOOR!

HOTTER 'N HELL 100

Well, in a few hours, hundereds of bike riders will hit the streets in Wichita County for the HHH 100. My sister, nephew and niece are all in town to celebrate Andrew's 6th birthday and we are going to go to Electra, to have coffee with my wonderful mother -in -law and watch the race. This afternoon we will be having Andrew's birthday party.
I can't believe I am up at 3:30 in the morning writing this, but since my sister works nights, she seems to want to be up right now and her annoying voice..... woke me up so now I can't go back to sleep. LOL! All the kids are sleeping like babies. Have a great day everyone and if your around Wichita Falls or the surrounding towns watch out for bike riders. I will post pictures later today.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Well, it's that time again! The sound of little feet stomping across the floor, coffee brewing at 5am, Mom yelling get out of bed and the school bus stopping in front of the house. School has official started here in Wichita Falls and some of the other surrounding areas and the kids are fussy. I dont like getting up earlier, but I do like the fact they are back in school.

Both boys came home yesterday gripping because there were mistakes on there schedules and wanted it fixed ASAP and couldn't understand there were hundred's of other students with the same issue. Funny part is, I had spent there better part of 8 hours at work listening to college students grip and complain because they didnt have the right class or had scheduled themselves into a class on the wrong campus. Which by the way happens to be 45 min away from Wichita Falls. So, it was just another day in Paradise. LMAO!

I however, also started back to school last night. First class of the week is Criminal Behavior and I love the class. It will be a lot of work, but interesting. The basic concept of the class is Criminal Profiling. First thing we did is watch "Eye for an Eye", with Keifer Sutherland. This will be my Final Exam. Assignment is to profile the criminal in this case. YUCK! I love Keifer, but I hate him in this movie. He plays a bad guy who rapes and kills a teenage girl and I just hate it. Anyway, off to work for another day of late registration and another new class tonight.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

BACK TO REALITY

Well, it's been fun while it lasted, but today is the last Friday I have off till next summer rolls around. Regular work hours go back into affect on Monday and no more Friday's off. Now, while it sounds really bad, it's not! However, enjoyed that Friday off and having a three day weekend. Summer hours at the college were 7:45 am till 5:15 pm and Friday off. Now we will work 8-5 and on Friday 8-Noon. So in reality... life is not all that bad. The good part about half day Friday's other than working only half a day is that the kids will be in school. My Friday's off have been shared with "rugrats" and no quiet time other than I get up 4 hours before they do. All in all, it's been great. Will spend the rest of my weekend working on several projects and trying to complete at least one of them....

Monday, August 10, 2009

I'll take a work day in the saddle, over a day at the office any day...
Back to work everyone...

Checking In

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I have not been here in a while. I started back to school in June and classes are kicking my butt. Each of my summer sessions have been 4 1/2 weeks long and one of the classes in each one have required some sort of research paper. This session, my Terrorism Class is requiring a 20-25 page paper on a terrorist group or a trend in terrorism. YUCK! While I like writing, I would prefer to do something I like. This topic is not as easy as it sounds.

Summer has gone so fast. Seems like we just started and it's almost time for School to start. Went to the grocery store yesterday to get stuff for dinner tonight. Making dinner for Raegan's last night here in Texas before she returns home and I saw Christmas stuff and Thanksgiving stuff and School Supplies starting to go up on the shelves at the stores I went to. WHAT? It's 100+ degree's outside, I can't even begin to think about CHRISTMAS TREE'S! It's gotta be cold to do that. Slow down World.....

The summer has been action packed with 4th of July and Cowboy Camp for the kids and lots of other fun family activities. Gotta run, have lots to do today. I'm on Vacation till Monday and I'm spending it at the library. FUN! Wish me luck.

Each year during the summer they would take a family vacation to Colorado and they would invite me. Often times, my father would say no, but I would find ways of changing his mind, like going to my grandmother or great-grandmother and getting them to persuade him otherwise. LOL! As a parent now, I see issues with that, but it was still fun. On our trips to Colorado or anywhere for that reason Janis would have to stop and take mine and Rhonda's photo in front of each and every dogwood tree that we passed. Oh, would Rhonda and I grip. One particular day we had been hanging our heads out the window and our hair was horrid. Janis got that shot too. I wanted to post this in honor of my bestfriend Rhonda and her family as we have drifted apart over the years. But the memories of all the fun times we shared still exsist. Love you guys where ever you are....

Also, I wanted to share the ledgend of the Dogwood as I have never heard it before and thought it was truly beautiful. Thanks Maorlando for taking such a wonderful shot and sharing with us.

Swampped!

Well, yesterday was my first day of classes and already swamped with homework. Major research paper due in 4 weeks along with several other assignments and not even 24 hours into classes. Have I lost my mind?

Mom, I want to play too!

Spent the day on the Red River in a very special spot, that most people can get to. However, our family had a blast... right down to the four legged members.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom ...

Baby Goose

"Standing Guard"

The weekend of my birthday Ronnie took us all camping and we sent the weekend in the Wichita Mountains. On Saturday we went up to Medicine Park and spent several hours walking around while the kids played in the river. Rosalee and I stopped off at the Riverside Cafe and enjoyed the music from the Tavern next door and while enjoying the day noticed a Goose on the rocks across the water from us. We also saw that he was standing guard over his "Lady" and new "Baby".

"Mama and Baby"

So this weekend the boys went to their Aunts and our drop off and pick up point was Medicine Park. Yesterday while waiting for everyone to arrive, I went over to see if I could see our new mama and her baby and with hopes that maybe another egg had hatched.

Well, I found our little family, but they had only had the one little baby Goose. He was so adorable waddling around and exploring his new world. We got to feed him and his parents but we were unable to hand feed like the other geese. They wouldn't let us too close without "Hissing" at us.

Newest Family Member

You know life just amazes me. I have been blessed and been able to witness the birth of two of my nieces. I have also been able to see puppies, kitty cats and even calf's be brought into this world. And no matter how many times I witness it, it brings me to my knee's and makes me realize just how amazing life is. On April 27, 2009 this little fellow came into the world and brought lots of joy to his owner and family and friends. Epecially me since it was my birthday and I had been telling them all along that's when he would grace our presents. And he did!Only 24 hours old Keeping Close to mom and never missing a step.

My 40th Birthday

This was a wonderful weekend. Ronnie and his mom and sister and the kids and I got to go camping up in the Wichita Mountains for the weekend. Only thing missing was Raegan. She was suppose to be here for the weekend, but she was really sick. (MISSED YOU RAEGAN)!!!!

However, we spent the weekend camping out and playing in the mountains. Where our campsite was, the beach was about 10 yards in front of us. The pics of the birthday message in the sand was for Wenona and I from Dustin, Michael and Madi. Such a wonderful birthday card. I LOVED IT! That evening we got to cook out and watch the amazing sunset over the mountains. It was a pefect weekend!

Third Request

OK! To the stalker I've had watching me wanting to see what I'm doing.... I have tried my hardest to tell you I know who you are. But I guess your not that smart and obviously cant read because your still there. So here are the rules:

1. I COULD CARE LESS WHETHER YOUR WATCHING OR NOT. (I am truly flattered you dont have anything better to do that spend your time with me).....

2. COWGIRL UP! Put your BIG GIRL panties on and DEAL WITH LIFE! ( In english: GET OVER IT)... time to move on.

3. If you can't understand Rule 1 or 2 see rule 4.

4. GET A FREAKING LIFE OF YOUR OWN! Any future issues just email me. BE A BIG GIRL!

To those of you who may see this, and just stoppin by to say hi or see what life is doing in Wichita Falls, please continue to stop by. We just happen to have one RAT in the wood pile who seems that life has nothing better than to follow me and see what dirt she might be able to find. She seems consumed with something she has no control over and instead of moving on and accepting life wants to make life for other Miserable. However what she dont realize is she is the miseable one and needs to grow up. After all these years and still comsumed with bitterness. She ought to count her blessing and be thankful that the ones in her life are there instead of trying to push them away. Instead of thinking about herself, she might ought to think about those that are more important... But since she is so consumed with bitterness and revenage I guess she is to busy to see what is truly important.

Off to Electra to spend the day having fun with kids and family.... Hope all are having a wonderful Spring Break!

Agriboard Industries on Friday afternoon, Electra TX

Last week Wichita, Archer and Montague Counties just to name a few in the area had their fair share of Wild Fires. Lack of Rain in the area has cause very favorable conditions for Wild Fires. Around 2pm on Thursday, I noticed that it was beginning to look quite hazy outside and someone mentioned fire. These photos were taken on Friday after the major damage had been done. While taking the photos Agriboard was still burning and fireman and other work crews were working round the clock to control the fire.

Some People

Ok! So I wake up and find a comment to moderate this morning. Someone didn't take to kindly to the COWBOY 10 Commandments. They wanted to give me some long drawn out speach about our creator and abunch of stuff.

Dude! Pay attention... In case you dont understand "COWBOY", aka TEXAS talk, these are our Creators Commandments. They just happened to be posted the way people use to talk 100 yrs ago in the wild open west. So chill!

COWBOY 10 COMMANDMENTS

Have you ever read the COWBOY 10 Commandments? Well, I did and I think if we would replace our constitution with the following laws and lived by them (HONESTLY) we might have a pretty civilized world and everybody might get along...... How much more simple can it get? Why does things have to be so darn complicated?

Just one GOD
Honor yer Ma & Pa.
No telling tales or gossipin'.
Git yourself to Sunday meeting.
Put nothin' before God.
No foolin' around with another fellow's gal..
No killin'.
Watch yer mouth.
Don't take what ain't yers.
Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff

Now that's kinda plain an' simple don'tcha think?

Life on the Farm

Spring Break has been such a wonderful time here. We had family come in from Austin and Oklahoma and spent time with the horses and kids just hanging out. Took family on a wagon ride around the town, played out on the land, cooked out, girls sat in the hot tube, ate Burnt Toast...(LOL inside joke) and just enjoyed life....

..this is Dustin and Rudy after the wagon ride. Dustin is walking Rudy and letting her eat the new green grass for a treat for doing such a wonderful job today...

...this is Raegan also walking Rudy...

Newest member of the Family.... "Pistol Pete" (the spotted Donkey), the smaller of the two is "Cowboy"

"Cowboy" is watching the kids play with "Rudy" and "Whiskey" while being unharnessed from the wagon ride and wants attention. He is actually crawling up the fence and talking to us.
